Edna Marie (Haas)
Rennick, 84, of Attica, died at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2001 in St.
Vincent Williamsport Hospital. Born near Veedersburg on March 17, 1916, she was
the daughter of the late Roy and Carrie (King) Haas. She formerly lived for
many years in Davis Township, Fountain Co., moving to Attica in 1950. She had
resided in Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica, for the past 17 years. Marie
attended Veedersburg High School. She was a homemaker. She was a former member
of the Attica First Lutheran Church. While in the nursing center, she was named
“Queen of the Year.” Marie was married to Richard “Pete” Rennick on February 8,
1933 in Covington. He preceded her in death in March of 1970. Surviving, are:
three sons, Richard (Jane) Rennick of Naperville, Ill., Ronald (Sharon) Rennick
of Williamsport and Rickey (Margaret) Rennick of Attica; a daughter, Karen Kay
(Carl) Greer of West Lebanon; a sister, Maxine Fix of Attica; 27 grandchildren
and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jack Rennick
and Larry Rennick; two sisters, Bernice Biggs and Lora Dodrill, and two
brothers, Bennie Haas and Alva Haas. Visitation was Friday prior to service
with Rev. Jim Nickles officiating. Interment in Old Baptist Cemetery, near
Newtown. – jlr
