HILLSBORO -- Holford M. Remster, 80, died early Thursday morning at his home on Rt. 1, Hillsboro. Mr. Remster was a retired farmer. The deceased was a 50-year member of the Cain Township Farm Bureau and was affiliated with the Hillsboro United Methodist Church. Born on Feb. 9, 1889, he was the son of Joseph L. and Euree Meeker Remster. He was educated in Linden and Stone Bluff schools. His wife, the former Nell Timmons, survives. The couple were married on Jan. 11, 1912, at Covington. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Wilma) Parker of Indianapolis and Mrs. Charles (Elouise) Shade of Hillsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Campbell of Hillsboro and Mrs. Edna Burns, who resides in Florida; a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a sister and two grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home with Revs. Arthur Schenck and Walter Williams in charge. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday. Holford M. Remster, 80, of Hillsboro Route 1, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 6, 1969) at his home. He was a retired farmer. Services were Saturday at the Crumley-Williasms Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Schenck and the Rev. Walter C. Williams officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. He was born Feb. 9, 1889, in Fountain County, son of Joseph L. and Enree Meeker Remster. He married Nell M. Timmons, Jan. 11, 1912 in Covington, and she survives. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Cain Township Farm Bureau and attended Linden and Stone Bluff schools. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Wilma) Parker of Indianapolis and Mrs. Elouise Shade of Hillsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Campbell of Hillsboro and Mrs. Edna Burns of Florida; a grandchild and a great granchild.
