Boswell, Ind.—Mrs. Grace Jewell Reid, 85, of S. Clinton St., Boswell, died about 7 p.m. Thursday Jan. 3, 1974 at Edgewood View Nursing Home in Oxford. She had been a patient two months.
Born March 29, 1888 in Little York, she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Carlile. She married Grover Reid Feb. 10, 1906. He died in 1962.
Survivors include two sons, Max of Evansville and Lloyd “Pete” of Fowler; a sister, Mrs. Lily Perrin of Scottsburg; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
She was a member of the Boswell Church of Christ, King’s Daughters Class and Grant Township Homemakers Club. She was a charter member of the Loyal Woman’s Club.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Boswell Church of Christ, with Don Thornton and Gene Pols officiating. Burial was in Boswell Cemetery. - thanks so very much to "S"
