Mrs. Sylvia J. Rehling, 90, Attica, died at 8:35 a.m. Friday, October 28, at Williamsport Community Hospital.
Born March 20, 1893 at Anoka Junction near Logansport, she was the daughter of Harry B. and Mattie W. Robertson Crim. On August 5, 1913, she married Fred Rehling at Peru, who survives. She was employed at International Harvester in Fort Wayne during World War II and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of the Crawfordsville District, the Relief Society, and was a past president of the Grand Army of the Republic Auxiliary. She attended school at Peru and had resided in Attica since 1927.
Other survivors include three daughters, Rachel Mather of Attica, Mrs. Clay Rhode of RR 4, Attica, and Mrs. Harold Covey of Newtown; two sons, Richard Rehling of Memphis, Tennessee, and Conrad H. Rehling of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, and three grandchildren.
Services were conducted Monday at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with President David Glover and Branch President Thomas J. Swinford of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica.
The family request that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Williamsport Community Hospital.
