REESE, Hazel Fern Johnson - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hazel Fern Reese, 76, Danville, Ill., dies at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Lakeview Medical Center. She was born Sept. 18, 1909, in Blount Township, the daughter of William Ross and Mabel Swisher Johnson. She was married Nov. 26, 1927 to Lawrence R. Reese in Covington. He preceded her in death May 28, 1986. She was a former Hoopeston, Ill. resident. She was a member of the Old Union Church of Christ.. Surviving are two sons, Robert, Danville and James, Rock Falls, Ill.; six daughters, Evelyn White and Helen Warner, both of Alvin, Ill.; Lois Reese, Berwyn, Ill.; Irene Maul, Hoopeston, Ill.; Donna Heidman, Crete, Ill.., and Bonnie Allen, Chicago; two brothers, Harlan W. Johnson, Montezuma, and Herman D. Johnson, Crystal River, Fla.; two sisters, Lois Massey and Louise Potter, both of Danville; 26 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel with Roger James and D. Eugene Houpt officiating.
