Claude H. Reeder, 68, Route 1, Williamsport, died unexpectedly at 12:20 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 1989 in Community Hospital, shortly after arrival.
He was born Feb. 24, 1920 near Hedrick, the son of Calmer G. and Beulah Crawford Reeder. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1938 and lived in Warren County all of his life. He was married Dec. 6, 1947 in Lafayette, to Ilo Mae Rush, who survives.
He was a farmer and also owned and operated Reeder Auto Sales and in the 60’s had an RCA television dealership.
He was a member of Pence United Methodist Church; Independent Auto Dealers Association and Warren County Farm Bureau.
Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marcia) Gallippi, Route 3, Williamsport; one son, Gary Wayne, at home, and one grandson, Gabriel Reeder Gallippi. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Orpha McCandless Reeder.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Thursday in Fisher Funeral Home Chapel, Williamsport, with the Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating. Burial was in Jordan Cemetery, Pence. – thanks to s
