Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Mrs. Mary Reed, 77, of 613 S. Central St., Tilton, died early Saturday morning, (June 21, 1958) in Knox, Ind. She was visiting at the home of her son, Marvin Reed. Mrs. Reed resided 23 years in the 700 block of Chandler St. until 1923, when she and her husband, Lawrence, moved to the Tilton address. She was born Sept. 17, 1880, in the Kingman, Ind. area, daughter of Aaron and Sarah Elizabeth Cline Brown. She attended school near Veedersburg, Ind. On April 2, 1899, she was married in Covington, Ind. The following year, the couple moved to Danville. He preceded her in death in 1937. Two sons, two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Marvin, and Norman of Michigan City, Ind.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Amanda Reddick of Denver, Colo. The body will be returned here to remain for services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pape Memorial Home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.   --typed by Walt W
