Private funeral services were held Friday, March 11 at one o’clock at Crumley and Sons Funeral Home for Ralph W. Reed and Gerald Wayne Simeral, with Reverend E. Kenneth Powell of the Methodist Church offciating. The bodies arrived from Germany at 11:06. The Simeral burial was held in Mt. Hope Cemetery and Reed’s in Tangier.

  Ralph W. Reed enlisted April 13, 1944 and was with the 29th division of the 116th Infantry and was killed in line of duty Feb. 25, 1945. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Edna Smith of Veedersburg, the widow, Mrs. Clara Reed and a son, Roger, of Covington, and one sister, Mildred, of Veedersburg.

  Gerald Wayne Simeral enlisted March 30, 1944 and died March 27, 1945 while serving with the 30th division of the 117th infantry. He is survived by the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Simeral, the widow, Mrs. Retha Simeral and one don, Donnie; two brothers, Rex and George, all of Covington; and one sister, Mrs. Alice Lutz, of Newman, Ill. – S&E
