REED, Opal Agnes Davis - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Greencastle - Opal A. Reed, 89, died Wednesday evening in the Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle. She was born at Kingman, July 3, 1894, a daughter of Isaac and Cassinda Philpott Davis. She was married May 30, 1915, to Robert Lawrence Reed. He preceded her in death September 9, 1951. Surviving are three daughters, Edith Goshorn of Ladoga, Helen Webster of Toledo, Ohio, Lois Ronk of Indianapolis; two sons, Robert of Ladoga and Harold of Canfield, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home at Greencastle, with the Rev. Wallace McDonald officiating. Internment will be in Brick Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Friday.
