Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 3, at the Frist Funeral Home in Clinton for Mrs. Lula May Reed, age 75 of Fairview Park, sister of Mrs. Lawrence (Violet) Allen, 722 Washington St., who died Sunday morning, Jan. 1, at the Allen Nursing Home in Rockville following an extended illness. The Rev. Joseph L. Barker officiated with burial in Snoddy Cemetery here in Fountain County. A native of Covington, she had been a resident of Hazel Bluff on Clinton Rt. 2, since 1916. She was married to John P. Reed, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Reed was a member of the Clinton First Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Reed of South Bend; two sons, Gerald S. of Fairview Park and Lloyd of Chicago; two brothers, Joseph Jones of Marshall and William Jones of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Strawser of Veedersburg and Mrs. Violet Allen of Covington; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. -- typed by Walt W
