KINGMAN - Donald Lorraine Redenbaugh, World War II veteran, formerly of Kingman, died unexpectedly at his home in Newark, Calif. Mr. Redenbaugh, 49, had been in failing health for several years, and death was attributed to a heart attack. Born Sept. 2, 1919, in Fairmount, Ill., he was the son of Charley and Nina Nehemiah Redenbaugh. He was married to Jacquelin Spray of Chewelah, Wash., on Aug. 17, 1942. Redenbaugh served 20 years with the U. S. Navy, and was involved in the attack on Pearl Harbor. He served throughout the War and was wounded many times. At the time of his retirement in 1958 he was a company commander at the U. S. Naval Training Center in San Diego, Calif. He attended grade and high school at Cates and Kingman. Survivors besides his wife and parents include two brothers, Garold of Covington and Deward of Danville, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Beulah) Woolwine of Kingman and Mrs. Robert (Fauneil) Perry of Covington, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother. Services were held at Newark and burial was in Chimes Memorial Park, Hayward, Caif - jlr

Covington – Funeral services for Donald L. Redenbaugh, age 49 of Newark, Calif brother of Mrs. Faunell Perry of Covington and Garold Redenbaugh of Covington Rt 1 who died unexpectedly at his home Thursday Aug 21 were held at 2 p.m. Tues Aug 26 at the Memorial Chapel at Newark. He had been in failing health for several years. Burial was in the Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park in Hayward. Mr. Redenbaugh was born Sept 2, 1919 in Fairmount, Ill, son of Charley and Nina Nehemiah Redenbaugh. He was married Aug 17, 1962 to Jacquelin Spray of Chewelah Wash and she survived. He attended grade and high school at Cates and Kingman. He served 20 years with the US Navy and was at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked in WWII. He was wounded several times in the war while serving on several ships. At the time of his retirement in 1958, he was Company Commander at the US Naval Training Center in San Diego, Calif. Surviving in addition to the widow are his parents, two brothers, Deward of Danville and Garold of Covington Rt 1 and two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Woolwine of Kingman and Mrs. Perry of Covington.
