Elsie L. Redden of Lafayette, formerly of Covington, age 84, died Thursday evening, March 18, in Home Hospital at Lafayette. She was born in Brown County, December 18, 1897. In 1917, she married Paul Russell Redden, who died in 1979. She and her husband owned a grocery store in Covington and also operated a grocery in Lafayette. Mrs. Redden was a member of First Christian Church and Hope Chapter OES in Lafayette.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Smith of West Lafayette; a son, Daniel J. of Lafayette; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Landis-Loy Mortuary in Lafayette. Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens at West Lafayette. – thanks so much to “S”
