Ira H. Rector, son of Wm. and Martha Rector, was born July 30, 1876 and died Dec. 22 1907, being 31 years, 4 months and 21 days old. It is indeed a sad thought to part with one so young and just in the prime of life, one that was capable of much good in the world. He gave his heart to his master about five years ago and joined the Christian church and was baptized, praying in his last illness. He received the witness and left the evidence of his acceptance with God saying, he was going home to God. He leaves a darling wife, two children, a father and mother, two brothers, two sisters and a large circle of friends to mourn his loss which is his eternal gain. Funeral services were conducted from the home of his father 2 ½ miles south of Hillsdale Tuesday by Rev. H. M. Tomlinson after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery near that place. -S
