Waynetown - Caleb Reath, 84 years old, died at his home near Yountsville Wednesday afternoon a sudden attack of heart failure causing his demise. Until a short time before his death Mr. Reath had been in his usual good health.
Waynetown - Caleb Reath, 84 years old, died at his home near Yountsville Wednesday afternoon a sudden attack of heart failure causing his demise. Until a short time before his death Mr. Reath had been in his usual good health.
The deceased was born in Maryland but came to Indiana while young, settling in Fountain County. There he married Caroline Clevenger and to them were born 7 children, 5 of who survive. Mr. and Mrs. Reath moved to the farm near Yountsville about 12 years ago. They had made a great many friends in the community. The deceased is survived by the following children: Bruce and Elma Reath, living at home; Henry near Alamo; Mrs. Emma Gossett, Mellott and Mrs. Sarah Booe near Alamo. Mr. Reath was a member of the United Brethren Church.
Mr. Reath was a member of the UE Church and was also a member of the Odd Fellow's Lodge. The funeral will be held at 10 Friday in charge of Rev. George B. Jones of Hillsboro. - kbz
