Perrysville – Arnold R. Rayphole, 93, died at 5:20 a.m. Tuesday Sept 7, 2010 at Digby House in Lafayette. He was a Covington resident most of his life, lived in Perrysville the last few years and moved to Lafayette in March. Born Oct 13, 1916 in Yeddo, he was the son of the late Robert and Opal Bonebrake Rayphole. He graduated from Kingman HS and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Raphole operated heavy equipment at Morgan Coal Mine, Indiana State Highway, Interstate Sand & Gravel and construction for 30 years. He was a member of Stringtown Church of God and Local 841 Operating Engineers and was past master of Yeddo Lodge 636 F&AM. On Oct 5, 1935, he married Phyllis E. Shumaker and she died on May 10, 1961. He married Lola L. Prather on Dec 3, 1961 in Danville and she died on June `6, 2005. Survivors include a son, Michael Rayphole (wife, Sue) of Cypress, Texas. Services are Saturday in Covington. – kbz
