Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Ottice R. Ray, 82, of 517 W. Williams, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday (March 18, 1975) at his home. He had been in failing health for several weeks. He was a retired barber, and had worked for the Sam Greece Barber Shop. His hobbies were flowers and woodworking. He was a member of the Christian Church in Hope, Ill. Mr. Ray was born Sept. 1, 1892, in Fountain County, Ind., to Ollie and Annie Leighty Ray. Survivors include two brothers, Homer and Danny Ray, both of Danville, and several nieces and nephews. Four sisters and a brother preceded him in death. Services will be Friday at the Berhalter Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Other arrangements are incomplete.   --typed by Walt W
