RAY, Marcus - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Attica – Marcus E. Ray, 83, formerly a farmer near Mellott, Wallace and Waveland died in the state hospital at Evansville Wednesday.  The body was sent to Attica. Born in Grayson County, Kentucky, he farmed successively in the three communities before retiring and going to Anderson where he lived with a daughter before going to Evansville where he also lived with a daughter.  His wife died in 1924.  Survivors are three sons, Roscoe E of Wakefield, Kans; Robert H. of Marshall an Charles E of Indianapolis; three daughters, Miss Laura B. Ray, Evansville; Mrs. Cuba C. Green, Danville, Ind and Mrs. Dorothy Mitz, Anderson and a sister Mrs. Mattie Kantz, Lafayette. - kbz
