RATCLIFFE, Ethel Hadley

Mrs. Ethel Ratcliffe, 60 years old, a resident of the Kingman community most of her life died Sunday morning at her home in Indianapolis.

Born October 11, 1884, Mrs. Ratcliffe was the daughter of Joseph and Matisha Robbins Hadley. She was married twice, first to Clarence Powell in 1903, who died in 1906, and to Samuel Ratcliffe in 1911, who survives.

Also surviving are a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lucille Friedell of Indianapolis; two brothers, Eck Hadley of Danville, Ill and WA Hadley of Kingman and a sister, Mrs. Beulah Sowers, also of Kingman.

Mrs. Ratcliffe was a member of the Christian Church in Indianapolis and Order of Eastern Star in Kingman.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Kingman Christian Church with Rev. W McGaughey of Veedersburg officiating. Burial was at Rush Creek Cemetery   --- transcribed by kbz
