VEEDERSBURG — William Ratcliff, age 72, a resident of Clinton and brother of Everett Ratcliff of Veedersburg, died at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 3 in the Vermillion County Hospital in Clinton after an illness of two weeks. Mr. Ratcliff, a retired farmer, was a native of Kentucky. He was born Aug. 3, 1895, the son of Alfred and Julia Allen Ratcliff. Surviving are: one son, Leroy of Mecca; four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Wright of Clinton, Mrs. Wavie Morgan of Roachdale, Mrs. Pauline Peck of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Lois Hixon of Clinton; three brothers, Everett of Veedersburg, Raymond of Crawfordsville, and James of Waynetown; two sisters, Mrs. Bennett and Mrs. Margaret Livengood, both of Waynetown; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Barnes Mortuary in Rockville. The Rev. Charles Benninghoff officiated and burial was in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville.   --waw

Clinton - William RATCLIFF, 72, of Clinton, died at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday in Vermillion County Hospital here after an illness of two weeks. Mr. Ratcliff was a retired farmer.
