Warren Moore Ratcliff, son of Miles A. and Sallie Moore Ratcliff, was born on a farm east of Kingman July 22, 1894 and departed this life in Fort Recovery, Ohio, Feb 5, 1941  at the age of 46 years 6 months 14
days.  He received his education at a little country school near his home, excepting the last 5 years which were spent in the public schools of Kingman.  On March 16, 1912, he was united in marriage to Clara Dott
Dark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Dark, and to this union were born two sons, Dale and Eugene.  His wife preceded him in death 15 years ago.  Being of an industrious disposition, he chose farming as his
favorite occupation and resided on the farm on which he was born.  On Jan 7, 1924 he united with the Pleasant Grove Church and was later baptized.  Warren, as he was known to everybody, was well liked by all who knew him and was always ready to lend a helping  hand to all his neighbors and friends.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Yeddo. About 7 years ago he went to Fort Recovery Ohio where he was engaged in the welding business.  In August 1940, he became ill and later entered the hsopital in Celina, Ohio, going from there to Fort Wayne.  His condition became steadily worse and all that loving hands could do for him was to no avail.  After a lingering illness of 22 weeks he passed to the great beyond from whence no travels ever returns.  A lifef cannot be measured by the number of years but by noble deeds that are done, and true and worthy friendship won.  He has gone from us and friends but our
loss is his enternal gain.
He leaves to mourn his loss a father, two sons, Clifford Dale of Pearl Harbor Hawaii and Denver Eugene of Grand Rapids, Mich; a sister, Mrs. Joe Bullock of Danville, Illinois and a brother, Harry of Kingman.
Warren's last request was to have his body brought to the home of Mr. and Mrs. WIlliam Dark, whom he always called Mom and Pop and who loved him as their own son.  The funeral was conducted at 10 o'clock at the UB Church Saturday by Rev. J.H. McHargue.
