Orville M. Ratcliff, 86, formerly of 324 S Bittersweet Lane died Sunday in Ball Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Kingman, graduated from Kingman HS in 1917 and served with the Army during World War I.  Mr. Ratcliff graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor of arts degree in history and was a member of the varsity wrestling team for three years.  He was employed 20 years with National Cash Register where he was manager and salesman and later was a representative for Shaw-Walker Office equipment until he retired.  Mr. Ratcliff was a member of American Legion Post 19, Eagles Lodge 231, 40 and 8 Muncie-Delaware County Area Senior Citizens and Travelers Protective Association. Surviving are a son, Robert H. Ratcliff of Florida; two brothers, Frank W. Ratcliff, Lafayette and Gilbert Ratcliff, Huntington, W Va; two grandchildren, Karen Nichols, Muncie and Robert P. Ratcliff, Anderson and four great grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Elm Ridge Mausoleum with Rev. John Paul Jones officiating. There are no calling hours.
