RATCLIFF, Odus - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Odus Ratcliff, 78, a retired farmer of Tangier, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harold Woodrow, RR 4, Attica on Wed March 14, 1962.  He was born in Fountain County Indiana March 6, 1884 the son of Charles and Octavia Hobson Ratcliff.  On Aug 22, 1912, he was married to Letitia Swaim who survives. Other survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Woodrow of Attica;  Mrs. George Hankins of Yeddo; Mrs. Charles Wittenmyer of Bloomingdale and Mrs. Robert Bryant of Hillsboro; two sons, Thomas Ratcliff of Crawfordsville and Robert of Rockville; two sisters, Mrs. Encil Andrew of DeWitt, Ark; Mrs. Dee Mitchel of Stuttgart, Ark and one brother, Clifford Ratcliff of Stuttgart; 16 grandchildren’ 9 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son.  Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 17, at 2 p.m. at Tangier Friends Church with Rev. Ruth Isaacs officiating.  Interment was in Tangier Cemetery. The Woodrow Funeral Home of Kingman was in charge of arrangements. – kbz
