RATCLIFF, Ethel Hadley Towell

Mrs. Ethel Ratcliff was found dead in her bed by her husband about four o’clock Sunday morning, Oct. 15, at their home in Indianapolis.    She was born near Kingman on Oct. 11, 1884, the daughter of Joseph and Matilda Robbins Hadley. She was married to Clarence Towell in 1903 and he died Oct. 31, 1906 and their infant son had died in August. She was married to Samuel Ratcliff in 1911 after which they moved to Indianapolis. She was a member of the Christian Church of Indianapolis and the Fountain Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Kingman.

  Mrs. Ratcliff is survived by the husband; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Lucille Friedell of Indianapolis; two brothers, Eck of Danville, Ill. and W. A. Hadley of Kingman; and one sister, Mrs. Beulah Sowers of Kingman.
  Funeral services were conducted at the Kingman Christian Church at two o’clock Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. O W. McGaughey of Veedersburg officiating. Burial was in Rush Creek Cemetery. -s-
