RATCLIFF, Elsie Briggs - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Kingman Christian church for Mrs. Elsie D. Ratcliff, a widely known resident of that community. Mrs. Ratcliff died Thursday morning April 30 at her home. She was born March 7, 1887 in Fountain County, the daughter of William T. and Lucy Ann Winnick Briggs. She was married to Scott Ratcliff on August 7, 1905. Surviving in addition to the husband are a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Cox of Clairmount, Del and a son, Donald, music teacher in Kingman HS. Mrs. Ratcliff, a former private music teacher was a member of Fountain county Chapter 204, Order of Eastern Star; the Kingman Christian Church and Mary C. Smith Tent 35, Daughters of Union Veterans.
