Bertha Evans Ratcliff of Matthews, Missouri, age 91, died November 17 at her home. She was born April 18, 1891, the daughter of George William and Rachel Ireland Evans of Howard. March 1, 1910, she married Frank E. Ratcliff, who survives. She was a charter member of the Matthews First Christian Church and pianist until her retirement. She gave piano lessons until World War I and then was a full-time partner in the family farming operation.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Barbara Proffer of Jackson, Missouri, and Wanda Critchlow of Sikeston, Missouri; seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church in Matthews with Cross-Welch Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge. Burial was in the Garden of Memories at Sikeston. - thanks to S
