-- Barbara A. Ratcliff nee Gray was born in Parke County, Indiana Sept 4, 1909 at the age of 68 years 1 month and 14 days. She was united in holy wedlock with Thomas J. Ratcliff near the Pleasant Grove Christian Church June 14, 1868 to this union were born 3 children: Estella who died at age 8; Capitolla (Mrs. AH Lindley) and Cedella. In girlhood the deceased united with the Bethel Christian Church. Later on she became a member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church, giving throughout her life unmistakable evidence of possessing a geniune Christian benediction to all who knew her. She leaves a bereaved husband, two daughters, a foster child, Juliet, the wife of Jas. Sowers; one brother, two sisters, 3 grandchidren, a number of nieces and nephews, with many other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her departure. THe funeral was conducted from the beautiful home one and one half miles SE of here on Tuesday Sept 7 by Rev. Robert Harris of Veedersburg. The remains were laid to rest in Harveysburg cemetery. --kbz
