Covington—Mrs. Ann Mekla Ratcliff, 39, Lafayette, former resident of Covington, died Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette following a week’s illness. Mrs. Ratcliff was born June 19, 1905 in Covington, the daughter of Charles and Margaret Smith Barkley. She was married Aug. 5, 1922 to Ernest Ratcliff. She moved to Lafayette with her family about a year ago. Surviving are the husband, a daughter, Delores, and her father and stepfather, both of Covington. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Covington Christian Church with the Rev. O. W. McGaughey officiating. - S
