RATCLIFF, Andrew - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Covington—Andrew Ratcliff, Supt. Of County Infirmary, passed away Friday, August 15, at 1:30 a.m. in the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was operated on for an emergency appendectomy near midnight last Saturday night. Mr. Ratcliff was born June 19, 1903 in Taylor County, Kentucky, the son of Albert and Julia Allen Ratcliff, who survives. He was married September 29, 1923 to Evelyn Hunt, who survives.

  Survivors beside the widow and parents are one son, Kenneth, at home; four brothers, William, Rockville, Everett, Veedersburg, Raymond and James, Waynetown; two sisters, Mrs. Manning Davis, Waynetown, Mrs. Gilbert Bennett, Waynetown.

  The body will be taken from the Ratcliff residence to the funeral home to lie in state for one hour before services. Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00 at the Crumley and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S&E
