ATTICA — Rosetta K. 'Rosie' (Smart) Rasnic, 65, 1104 S. Brady St., Attica, died at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2006 at her residence. She was born Feb. 5, 1941 in Attica, the daughter of Ralph E. and Mary J. (Knowles) Smart. She was formerly married to Paul Harris Jr. and Jerry McKee. She married Grover L. Rasnic April 5, 1975 in Veedersburg. He survives. She was raised in Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1959. She had lived in Harlan for 12 years before moving back to Attica in 1974. She had worked as a typist-receptionist for Kepler & Associates from 1986-1990. She then worked as a clerk-typist for C. R. Services for 11 years, retiring Sept. 12, 2001. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post #3318 of Attica; former member of the Ladies of the Moose in Attica. She was a member of the National Association of Secretarial Services. She was an avid bowler and served as the Attica Women's Bowling League President. She had held several league offices and won several league championships and W.I.B.C. awards. She was very patriotic and enjoyed gospel music. Survivors, besides the husband, include: a son, Richard L. Harris, Huntington; a step daughter, Debbie Rasnic, Indianapolis; three step sons, David (Trish) Rasnic, Attica, Don (Rhonda) Rasnic, New Haven, and Dwayne Rasnic, Houston, Texas; a brother, Donald (Marian) Smart, Attica; two sisters, Pat (Rex) Kepler, Lafayette and Peggy (Art) Anderson, Attica; six step grandchildren, Cory Reynolds, Brianne Wrede, Brittany Rasnic, Justin Rasnic, Jamie Rasnic and Jennifer Rasnic; two step great-grandchildren, Brayden Wrede and Peyton Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. Don Williams officiating. Burial was in Union Christian Cemetery.
