RARDON, Evelyn Patterson

Lafayette—Evelyn R. Patterson Rardon, 83, 2114 Moore St., Lafayette, died at 2:10 a.m. Friday, May 26, 1989 in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. She had been in failing health several months.
She was born Nov. 2, 1905 in Mellott. She was raised in Frankfort and graduated from Frankfort High School. She had lived in Lafayette since her marriage on June 19, 1923 in Frankfort to Harley G. Rardon, who survives. His is a retired Monon Railroad employee.
She was a former clerk at O’Rear’s Bakery. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Civil Defense Auxiliary and Tippecanoe County Home economics Club. She was active in the Democratic Party and worked at the election polls for many years.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, James D., Lafayette, and Gene P., Mesa, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday in Hippensteel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Duncan MacNab officiating. Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.- thanks to S
