Kingman --Mrs. Myrtle Ransom, age 71 of Kingman died at 2 a.m. Thursday May 27 at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville, Ill. She had been a patient one week. Mrs Ransom was b 9-5-1897 in Metalf Ill daughter of James & Etta Dains Wills. She married Frank Ransom 12-12-1923. He preceded her in death Nov 23, 1952. She was a member of the Kingman Evangelical United Brethren hurh, pat nobble grand of Chariot rebekah Lodge 517 and past president of Kingman American Legion Auxilary. Survivors are two sons, Rex of Danville Ind and Ralph of Kingman; two sisters, Mrs Lester (Ruth) Sowers and Mrs. Lottie Sowers of Kingman; one brother, Howard Willis (sic - Wills) of Rushville, two grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and severeal nieces & nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Davies-Tudor Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Larry McMillan officiated Burial in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. = kbz

KINGMAN -- Mrs. Myrtle Ransom, 71, resident of Kingman the past 52 year, died at 2 a.m. Thursday at Lakeview Hospital in Danville, Ill. Born Sept. 5, 1897, in Metcalf, Ill., she was a daughter of James and Etta Dains Wills. She married Frank Ransom on Dec. 12, 1923. A member of the Kingman EUB Church, she was past noble grand chariot of Rebecca Lodge No. 517 and past president of the Kingman American Legion Auxiliary. Her husband died Nov. 23, 1952. A brother also preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Rex of near Danville, Ind. and Ralph of Kingman; a granddaughter, Mrs. Richard Keeling of Hillsboro; a grandson, Marion Ransom of near Danville, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Lester (Ruth) Sowers and Mrs. Lottie Sowers of Kingman; a brother, Howard Wills of Rushville; five great-grandchildren, and a niece and nephew. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Davies Tudor Funeral Home in Marshall with Rev. Larry McMillan officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may pay respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today. --waw
