Orville J. Ranier, 66, a prominent farmer living on Rt 41, about 5 miles south of Veedersburg died at 10:00 o'clock Monday morning following a heart attack. Mr. Ranier had suffered a previous attack Sunday night but seeming had recovered when the second attack came.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Edna Ranier; a daughter, Miss Ann Ranier; a dietitian at Oakland, California; a son, Carl, Lafayette and three brothers, Thomas, Covington druggist and Lynn and Lowell of the Veedersburg vicinity.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the family resident at Steam Corner at 1:00 o'clock. Burial will be in Brookston cemetery north of Lafayette with Fishero Funeral Home in charge. --- transcribed by kbz
