Covington, Ind.-- Mrs. Nellie M. Ramey, 75, of 1000 Tenth St., Covington died at 8:50 p.m. Friday (June 23, 1967) at the Lake View Hospital in Danville, Ill. where she had been a patient for ten days. Mrs. Ramey was born Jan. 8, 1893 in Franklin, N.C., the daughter of Alonzo and Cyntha Benteley Mashburn. She married Frank Ramey in 1910. He preceded her in death on Mar. 16, 1964. Mrs. Ramey had lived all her life in Waynesville, N.C. until the death of her husband. Since that time she has lived alternately with her son and daughter. She attended the Baptist Church at Franklin, N.C. She is survived by a son, Earl of Newark, Del., a daughter, Mrs. Lelia Tipton of Covington, 15 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter. The body was taken to the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The body will be moved to the Garrett Funeral Home at Waynesville where tentative funeral plans call for the service to be Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens there. --typed by Walt W
