Mrs. Ida Jane Ramey, age 71, 817 Jefferson St., died at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient since Nov. 18. She had been in ill health for several years and seriously ill for three months. She was born May 30, 1893, in Pen Argyl, Pa., the daughter of Perry and Beatrice Brittin Belles. She married Charles A. Ramey Dec. 27, 1909 and he preceded her in death April 12, 1959. Mrs. Ramey was a resident of the Covington community for 47 years and she was a member of the Wabash Chapel EUB Church. Mrs. Ramey is survived by 10 children: Leroy Belles of Covington Rt. 1, Mrs. Mabel Young of Lafayette, Charles Ramey of Covington Rt. 3, Mrs. Dan Babb of Covington, Mrs. Martha Suiters of Santa Susana, Calif., Mrs. Alice Utash of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Betty Keller of Veedersburg, Mrs. Helen Denton of Danville, Perry Ramey of Barstow, Calif., and Mrs. Dolly Ricciardelli of Canoga Park, Calif., also, Four brothers, Ray Belles of Bangor, Pa., Perry and Claude Belles of Pen Argl, and William Belles of Ockermanville, Pa.; three sisters, Ella Miller and Mrs. Martha Riley of Bethlehem, Pa., and Mrs. Alice Fosse of Middletown, Ohio; 39 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one son and one brother. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Glenn Ray, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Charles Stoup, John Stoup, Charles Shaw, Fred Walter, Albert Suiters and Robert Clemence.   --typed by Walt W
