WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Thelma Bernice Rainey, 58, of 215 N. Monroe, Williamsport, died at 8:50 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 20, 1974) at Community Hospital. She had been admitted a short time before after being stricken at her home. Death was attributed to natural causes. Born June 9, 1915, at Bedford, she was the daughter of William and Effie Akers Roach. She was married Oct. 12, 1935, in Bedford to William L. Rainey who survives. Mrs. Rainey moved to the area in 1949 and had resided in Williamsport for the past five and a half years. She was a member of the Christian Church at Parkersburg. Survivors include five sons, John L. of Williamsport, William W. of Lafayette, Jack D. of Newport, Mike D. of Attica and Jerry L. at home; three daughters, Mrs. Wanda L. Owens and Mrs. Glenda Sue Steaster, both of Lafayette, and Mrs. Sarah D. McCormick of Williamsport; 11 brothers and sisters; 14 grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fisher Funeral Home. Don Green will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 3-5 and 7-8 p.m. Tuesday.   --waw
