Hillsboro - John Charles Rafferty, 65, of Lake Lemon, Unionville, Ind died Monday (Sept 22) in Evangelismos Medical Center in Athens, Greece, following an illness contracted on vacation.  He was formerly employed with LS Ayres & Stokely Van Camp in Indianapolis. He retired as manager of Human Resources for the Quaker Oats Company in Chicago.  Mr. Rafferty was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, where he served in the Air Force. He was a graduate of Hillsboro HS.  He attended Wabash College and graduated from Butler University. He was born in Montgomery County Sept 6, 1932, to Charles Otto and Esther Catt Rafferty. Survivors include a twin sister, Joan Harrington of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris Rafferty Miller of Crawfordsville.  Funeral arrangements are pending at Maus Funeral Home.
