Covington is greatly excited over the mysterious death of J.W. Quirk, a sawing machine collector. Quirk went into the country Tuesday on a collecting tour and during the afternoon the horse that he drove away came walking slowly into town pulling the buggy in which was the lifeless body of the collector. The head, which was hanging over the dashboard was mashed into a jelly. The people believe that Quirk was murdered and robbed.
