NEWTOWN — Mrs. Mabel Quigle, 83, of this community, died at 2 p.m. Friday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, where she had been a patient since Sunday. A daughter of Charles and Edith Gray Kerr, she was born Sept. 12, 1883 east of Newtown. She attended the Indianapolis Conservatory of Music. She married Carl Quigle on Sept. 5, 1908. He died Feb. 24, 1965. Mrs. Quigle was a member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church, Research Club, Gold Star member of the Quigle-Palin American Legion Auxiliary unit, Study Club, OES and a charter member of the Newtown Music Club. Survivors include a son, Howard of near Newtown; a grandson, Linn, and three great-grandchildren. A son, Charles, died in World War II. Funeral services are set for 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro, with Rev. Peter Heemstra the minister and burial in Newtown Cemetery.
