Pontiac – Herbert D. Quigle, 87 of 18616 N 99th Avenue, Sun City, Ariz, formerly of Pontiac died at 6 p.m. Tuesday May 6, 1986 at Boswell Hospital in Sun City.  His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac, the Rev. Gretchen Stinebaugh officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. He was born Oct 2, 1898 at Hillsboro, Ind, a son of George and Evaline Jones Quigle. He married Sarah Sheppelman Dec 22, 1920 at Saunemin. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Arladine Koegel, Sun City, Ariz and two grandchildren. One daughter and one grandchild preceded him in death.  He attended rural Hillsboro schools. He farmed near Weston and later worked at the Pontiac Correctional Center where he was employed for 20 years, retiring in 1961.  Mr. Quigle was a Navy veteran of WWI and II and was a life member of the Disabled Veterans Association. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pontiac.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.  – kbz
