Source: Waynetown Despatch, Waynetown, Montgomery County, Indiana 25 July 1930
Mrs. Mary Pursley, wife of George Pursley, was found dead in bed at her home southwest of Hillsboro Monday morning about 5 o'clock. Her husband arose at the usual time and thinking Mrs. Pursley was sleeping went about his morning work but on returning to the house went to the bed and found her apparently dead. He called the family Physician and it was found that she had been dead but a short time, death being due to heart trouble.
Mrs. Pursley had not been feeling well for a few days but her illness was not of an alarming nature and she had felt as well as common Sunday, helping with the chores on Sunday evening.
The funeral service was held from the home Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. HA Davis, of Clermont, formerly of Hillsboro in charge. The pall bearers were: Howard Myer; Harry Myer; Henry Myer; Dave Myer; John P. Bever and Henry Bever. The flower bearers were: Misses Helen Myer; Esta Finch; Rhoda Jane Finch; Josephine Hutchins; Merle Bever and Martha Bever. Burial was made in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro - kbz
