Services for Lawrence F. (Larry) Purfeerst, 66, of 9 Tennessee, who died Thursday (Oct. 1, 1970) at St. Elizabeth Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Paul Kinder officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday, followed by a Christian wake service at 8 p.m. Friday, at Berhalter Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Mr. Purfeerst was born Oct. 13, 1903, at Covington, Ind., son of Frederick and Catherine Murphy Purfeerst. He married Theresa Burns on Aug. 3, 1932, at Covington, and she survives. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Bernice Hughes of Covington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother. Mr. Purfeerst attended Covington schools and graduated from Covington High School. He was employed for 25 years as a foreman at Interstate Printers, and retired in 1968.
