George W. Pritchard, age 98, resident of Wabash Township for 60 years, died at 2 o'clock Monday morning, June 16, at his home on Covington Rt. 1. He had been ill for the past three months and seriously ill for one week. Mr. Pritchard was born Jan. 14, 1860 in Logan, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Mary Ann Redman Pritchard. He was married Nov. 28, 1893 to Mary Olive Allen, who preceded him in death Feb. 25, 1944. He was a carpenter and farmer and for many years operated an old-time threshing machine. He attended the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, south of Covington. Surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Snyder of Danville Rt. 4 and Mrs. Noah (Lucy) R. Allen of Covington Rt. 1; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Granville Pritchard of Danville. He was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, two sisters and five brothers. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. The Rev. William Rudd officiated and burial, with the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in charge, was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
