Miss Golda Evalene Pratt, daughter of Myron Allen and Josephine Scott Pilkenton Pratt was born April 4, 1886. She was 58 years and 16 days old and had spent her entire life in and around the Howard community until the family was all gone except the brother, Herman Hill Pratt, who is still living. She got her education at the Howard School and attended church and Sunday school at the Howard Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was converted at the age of 14 and joined the church under Rev. David Carnahan’s ministry, the pastor of the church. When it was so she could, she attended services. After the parents were gone and the home broken up, she found places among her friends where she would go and help in sickness or during the working seasons she would take great interest in staying and helping among the sick and would call and ask about them and offer her help. She was of a jolly disposition and friendly to all she knew. She had a host of friends who always treated her well and expressed sympathy to her. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors. She was staying in Kingman when she suffered a stroke which caused her to give up her work and went to stay with Mrs. Ada Atkinson. Her condition never did get much better when last Thursday, April 20, she passed away. She leaves to mourn her loss one brother, Herman Hill Pratt and nieces and nephews. Her sister, Alma May Pratt Swaim, the youngest one to go, Dulcie Chloe Pratt Bond, the second and Golda the last. She leaves several relatives and friends, her uncle Edson Pratt of Cayuga and those who knew her.-S
