POWELL, Ruth M - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

  Ruth M. Powell of Waveland, age 79, died Thursday afternoon, January 6, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She was born in Montgomery County, April 22, 1903, the daughter of James A. and Goldie Simms Hunter. She married John Powell, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Powell was a member of the Wingate American Legion Auxiliary.

  Surviving are a sister, Mary Carroll of Waynetown; a brothers, Elmer Hunter of RR 1, Hillsboro; and a niece and two nephews.

  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with Rev. David Culley officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery near Elmdale. – thanks to S
