POWELL, Phillis Cheesman - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Phillis Ann Powell of Cayuga, age 42, died Sunday night, June 21, in University Hospital at Indianapolis. She was born in Cayuga, January 13, 1939, the daughter of Luther and Maudie Newman Cheesman. In 1957, she married Junior David Powell, who survives.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Lori, at home; three sons, Kevin of Williamsport, Steve and Tracy at home; a stepdaughter, Therasa Bushue of Covington; her father of RR 1, Cayuga; four sisters, Nancy Martin of Georgetown, Illinois, Vivian Powell, Linda Russell and Tonya Cheesman, all of Danville, Illinois; five brothers, Robert, Gary and Ricky, all of Danville, Illinois, David of Tilton, Illinois, and Daniel of Georgetown; a stepbrother, Marvin of rural Cayuga; two grandchildren and two step grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Malcolm DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga. Burial was in Hughes Cemetery north of Eugene. – thanks to S
