Mamie Griggs Potter of Attica, age 90, died Saturday morning, November 20, in Home Hospital at Lafayette. She was born in Washington County, October 24, 1892, the daughter of Enoch and Mary Jane Casey Armstrong. May 19, 1909, she married Clifford Griggs, who died in 1943. In 1950, she married Olie Potter, who died January 8, 1977. A resident of Attica since 1919, she was a member of the Attica Christian Church and Home Industrial Club.

  Survivors include two sons, Garold V. Griggs of Theodosia, Missouri, and Edward R. Griggs of rural Lafayette; a sister, Eva Bush of Lafayette; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Maus Chapel in Attica with Rev. Terry Green officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – kbz
