VEEDERSBURG — Lizabeth Jean
“Beth” Potter, 48, Veedersburg, died at 5:42 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 in St.
Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. She was born Aug. 12, 1959 in Danville,
Ill., the daughter of William E. “Red” and Lillian (Haines) Potter. She was a
member of the Sterling Christian Church, American Legion, and a lifetime member
of the V.F.W. Post #2395 in Covington. She was a passionate sports fan and her
favorite teams were the St. Louis Cardinals and Purdue Boilermakers. She had
been employed for several years at the V.F.W. Post #2395 in Covington.
Survivors include: her mother of Veedersburg; a brother, William E. Potter,
Waveland; and a nephew, James W. Potter, Hillsboro. She was preceded in death
by her father. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday in Dickerson Funeral
Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial was in
Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg. The family requests memorial contributions be
made in Beth's name to the American Cancer Society. – jlr
