POTTER, Henry

Henry Potter of Veedersburg, age 88, died Tuesday morning, June 15, in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville, Illinois. He was born at Hillsdale, August 29, 1893, the son of Joseph and Ellen Bennett Potter. December 23, 1914, he married Nellie Kates, who survives. A retired coal miner, he was a member of the Hillsdale Evangelical United Brethren Church, Yeddo Masonic Lodge and Wallace and Parke County Low 12 Clubs.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Irene Keene of Veedersburg; two sisters, Rose Trombo and Mary Stricker, both of Fresno, California; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A son, William Earl, preceded him in death.

  Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. William Ringgold officiating. Burial was in Helts Prairie Cemetery near Clinton. – thanks to S
