Danville, Ill.—Tony Porter, 91, Short Road, Danville, died at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 1989 at United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville.

  She was born Sept. 15, 1897, in Snider, Ill., the daughter of George and Mary Jarvis Stump. She was married Jan. 27, 1915 in Covington, to Cecil Porter Sr., who preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1968.

  She was a member of the First Church of God. She enjoyed her family and reading the Bible.

  Surviving are four sons, Cecil Jr., Danville; George, Tilton, Ill.; Donald, Columbus, Ga., and Robert, Elwood, Ill.; a foster son, Clinton Frazell, Danville; three daughters, Mary Guy, Lafayette; Mrs. John (Loretta) Trumbla, Crystal River, Fla., and Mrs. William (Joan) West, Danville; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews and several cousins. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters.

  Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Pape Memorial Home, with Pastor Steve Stanley officiating. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery. – thanks to S
