Miss Mary Lucille Port, 69, a life resident of Covington died at 12:25 a.m. Thursday Feb 9, 1961 at St. Elizabeth Hospital where she had been a patient one day following several years of failing health. Born April 18, 1891 in Covington she was the daughter of Frank and Bridge Murphy Port. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. She had been employed at Meis Bros. Departent store for 17 years and Block & Kuhl Store for 8 years. She retired because of ill health in 1949. Survivors include a brother, George Port of Covington and a nephew, Miller Port of Lafayette. Services were at St. Joseph Catholic Church (9:30 a.m. Saturday). The Rev. Peter B. Crelly officiated with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
